Bathed in warm Indian Ocean currents, and with 1600 km of palm-fringed coastline, Sri Lanka is an amazing dive destination. The waters of Sri Lanka are home to an incredible range of marine creatures from massive blue whales.

Sri Lanka has an abundance of great sites to discover including wrecks scattered off the coast – local divers are still discovering new ones. Many of the wrecks are covered in marine life, soft corals, macro critters and large aggregations of schooling fish.
Scuba Diving in Sri Lanka is currently a popular sport for both tourists and locals. With our island’s vibrant marine life, which includes a plethora of colorful fish and corals, as well as its pristine and wonderful seas, it’s no surprise that people visit our island for scuba diving activities. The greatest scuba diving spots can be found throughout the Southern Coast, Eastern Coast, and Western Province, which is also a notable destination for deep scuba diving. The Southwestern coastal regions of Beruwala, Bentota, Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, and Weligama are also excellent scuba diving locations.

Arugam Bay is mainly known for its outstanding surf conditions but the area also offers lagoons, archaeological sites and diverse wildlife. With freshwater, ocean, forest and culture so close to one another in this quiet and remote area, be prepared for relaxation, elephant and crocodile spotting, birds, monkeys and a chilled experience.
